YOUR GATEWAY TO SUCCESS

ABOUT LiUNA LOCAL1197

Perhaps the largest collection of construction careers falls under the classification of laborers, specifically, those professionals with membership in Local 1197 of the Laborers’ International Union of North America. Those known as “Construction Craft Laborers” work in all areas of construction, including both residential and commercial projects. Even with thousands of members, the union – known by the shorthand LiUNA – has unfilled requests for laborers and is looking to help others get into construction work through the organization’s apprenticeship program.

Eighth largest labor organization in America.
